The Gareth Dunn Foundation - funding request form

The Gareth Dunn Foundation is the charitable arm of the Cookridge Community Run. It was set up in Memory of Gareth Dunn who sadly passed away from Sarcoma in 2018 aged 27. Gareth was a keen sportsman, runner and hiker, and was due to begin Officer Training at Sandhurst before his life-changing diagnosis, subsequently pivoting to various Paralympic Teams before completing the London Marathon in 2018 whilst tirelessly raising over £100,000 for Cancer Research in just two years.

The race and fun run held every year in May and the Foundation seeks to continue his legacy by raising money to support life-changing treatment, diagnosis, and care for those affected by Cancer, and in particular Sarcoma which disproportionately affects younger people. Where we can, we also want to support local sport or activity-based community initiatives that make a real difference to children and young people through the Gareth Dunn Foundation. Whether that be funding for new equipment, support for an expedition or help improving your facilities, we would love to try and help in Gareth's name.
